gas jumped an insane amount in 24 hours here, how is it where you live?

I had to fill up this morning and just stopped at the first place I found without looking at the price. It was $3.49. I got a gallon and drove to the place around the corner from my house, they were $2.89, but they were changing the sign and the pumps while I was there. What is it like where you are?

I almost feel bad for the suv owners, almost. Bow to the moderate fuel efficiency of the Volvo wagon! :D
